At the December 2022 ASNA Holiday gathering outgoing President Jason Jervis recognized members of the board of directors for outstanding contribution to the ASNA organization over the past four years.
During the President's speech he thanked volunteers for their tireless efforts to maintain and improve Alamo Square. He also went on to recognize specific board members who regularly volunteer at events, unite the board in the spirit of community, and contribute to the betterment of park and neighborhood.
President's Service Award Recipients
Cynthia Chapman recognized for her work over the last 4 years as Vice President of ASNA, producing ASNA's volunteer gardening event, Alamo Scare, as well as her numerous contributions to the Alamo Square community.
LaVonne Hickerson recognized for her many years of service to ASNA, Alamo Square Park and community. LaVonne has served as an officer and board member throughout her tenure with ASNA, is a Sponsor member, and a regular volunteer at every ASNA event.
Katherine Schinkel recognized for her service as ASNA secretary and her tireless volunteer efforts connected to Alamo Scare and Volunteer Gardening.
Lisa Zahner recognized for her many years of service on the ASNA board including time as ASNA President. Lisa has also played an instrumental role in the revitalization of Divisadero and fundraising for the Trees for Future Generations campaign.
J. Lee Stickles recognized for her many years of service as an ASNA board member, her contributions to the planning, design, and execution of the Trees for Future Generations project. J.Lee's contributions to the Alamo Square park and community have been enormous.
Tarik O'Regan recognized for his service as an ASNA board member, his knowledge and assistance as a parlimentarian, and his numerous volunteer contributions via Volunteer Gardening and Evening with the Candidates.
AJ Thomas recognized for his service as an ASNA board member and officer. AJ continues to support the organization through his work with City departments to help resolve issues, his contributions to Volunteer Gardening and Evening with the Candidates.
John Dallas recognized for his many years of service to ASNA and the community at large. John was an instrumental in fundraising for the Trees for Future Generations campaign. John has also lent his time to assist with Alamo Scare and advocating for improvements to the Divisadero corridor.
