Bark the Vote Rally!  Bring your dog and join the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence for a free, fun, dog-themed, get-out-the-vote rally for the November 6 elections! Activities include: Special guest speakers, a Dog for President Contest, a Dog Costume Contest, Voter Registrations, low-cost microchipping from SF/ACC, dogs available for adoption, and more!
We hope to see you on October 20!1
JUST ANNOUNCED! District 5 Supervisor Vallie Brown will join us from 12-12:45 PM!

Park Volunteer Day – November 3, 2018

Calling Alamo Square Park volunteers!
Our next volunteer day at the park will be Saturday, November 3, between 9 AM and noon.
We’ll meet, as usual, at one of the picnic tables near the tennis court, where a park gardener will give us instructions and the necessary tools.  We’ll then head off to the areas in the park that need our help.
Refreshments will be available.  See you at our last Park Volunteer Day for 2018!

Thanks to everyone who volunteered their time and energy at Alamo Square Park at the last Saturday morning volunteer day!

Because of your work, the flower beds that flank the Scott/Hayes corner entrance are newly mulched, the small flower bed near the playground is free of weeds, and large areas of lawn cleared of litter.

The next volunteer day at Alamo Square Park is Saturday, October 6, 2018.  Meet by the tennis court at 9 AM. Email us at park@alamosq.org to let us know you can join, and we hope to see you then!

  • Darcy Brown from SF Beautiful presents an update on the rehabilitation of the Turk and Fillmore Mini Park, upgrading the Blue Bridge on Fillmore, the Muni Art 2018 program, and other projects in the works.
  • ASNA Board Member Lee Stickles will provide a design update of the Turk and Fillmore Mini Park project.
  • Bay to Breakers representatives will provide an overview on this year’s Bay to Breakers (May 20, 2018).
  • New SFPD Northern Station Captain Joseph Engler
  • Alamo Square Neighborhood Association is exploring options for bringing Movie Night to the Park. Weigh in via our Google Survey, or come to our meeting to express your ideas or concerns.
