Muni is working on multiple fronts to make getting around San Francisco safer, faster and more reliable for our customers. As part of this effort, MTA is creating a Rapid Network that will improve the frequency and reliability on lines and routes that carry 80% of customers, including the 5 Fulton. Several changes are proposed on McAllister Street between Central Avenue and Jones Street. These changes will build on those already implemented as part of the 5L Fulton Limited pilot project. Proposed changes include:
Replacing all-way STOP-controlled intersections at nine intersections
Modifying transit stop locations
Adding pedestrian bulbs or refuge islands on Fulton at Ashbury, Clayton, and Cole
Your feedback is important to refining these proposals. Staff will be on hand at the open house to answer questions and discuss these changes. There will be no presentation. If you are unable to attend, or would like to provide comments online, please take MTA’s online survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/5rapidnetwork-survey. Tell Muni how they are doing at www.tellmuni.com.
