ASNA Board Votes to Support 400 Divis Project

On April 4th 2019, the ASNA Board of Directors approved a resolution in support of the development project at 400 Divisadero. The board vote was 9 in favor, 5 opposed, with 1 abstention. This development will add much needed additional multi-sized housing units to our neighborhood as well as day and night time retail to our ever popular merchant corridor. The project is moving forward for approval by the Planning Department. More to come so stay tuned!

Divisadero Farmer’s Market Move

With the intent of increasing safety for patrons, farmers, and staff as well as allow for smoother traffic flow, the Divisadero Farmers’ Market was planning to move the neighborhood Farmers’ Market from Grove street and Divis, to the DMV parking lot on Broderick street between Oak and Fell street in April 2019. Unfortunately, because of a zoning code restricting the use of the property for this purpose, the plan hit a roadblock and could not be approved by the city planner. Thankfully, Supervisor Brown introduced an ordinance to amend the planning code to allow for farmers’ markets to set up at public facilities in RM2 (reinforced masonry) zones. We’ll keep you posted as this story unfolds.
