The Victorian Alliance Fall House Tour
The Storied Houses of Alamo Square
Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, 1-5 p.m.

The Victorian Alliance of San Francisco has selected the Alamo Square neighborhood for its 43rd Annual House Tour.  Drawing upon Joe Pecora’s seminal book, “The Storied Houses of Alamo Square,” splendid interiors of eight exceptional residences and a landmarked church will be open to guests on a self-guided walking tour.

Visit Italianate, Queen Anne, and San Francisco Stick style homes — including The Westerfeld House and a beautifully restored Painted Lady of Postcard Row.  Docents will be on hand to provide historical background on the architects, contractors, craftsmen and the families who settled there, and complimentary light refreshments will be served.

Prices for the tour range from $40 to $55.  Discounts are available for Victorian Alliance members, groups of 10 or more, and for purchases made before October 10.

Mail order ticket instructions and online ticket sales can be found on www.VictorianAlliance.org, where you may subscribe for future announcements.  Alliance members also will be selling tickets at the Alamo Square Flea Market on Sunday, Sept. 13, Fulton and Scott streets, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
